Silver Spoon is an ordinary phrase with extraordinary meanings. It may convey to you just a piece of silverware lying on the dining table; however there are a lot of special concepts and implications within these simple words. In Thailand, Silver spoon traditionally refers to wealth, prosperity and well-being. It sometimes implies sacredness. In the old days, only the royal family and noblemen were to use silver as equipment to eat while the people were to use their own hands. This attitude and belief of silver as a holy thing has passed on to the present.
